I think that has been our overall response to the past weekend. Our workshop went off brilliantly and we had a great time. We'd like to thank everyone for coming out to see us. It was so much fun and absolutely terrifiying at the same time. Thankfully the computer stuff went off without a hitch (Thanks AV guy! We wish we could remember your name). The GOC is probably the biggest thing in our social calendar. We see friends that we often only see once a year like Erin from the Karma Marketplace in Penetanguishene, ON. Listening to her speak of her experience being elected to local council was inspiring to say the least! We also talked with Elwood from Rare Breeds Canada about pigs, chatted with Greg from Little City Farm (one of the places that inspired us) The Biodynamic wine and cheese on Saturday evening was a ton of fun, full of great wine from Southbrook Winery and cheese from Glentcolton Farm, not to mention sausage and bread from other biodynamic farms. MMMMMMmmmmm
Sunday was a much more relaxed day with no worries of stage-fright. Kerry Hackett's Weeds for nutrition talks was great and incredibly informative. Who knew weeds could be so healthy? We finished the afternoon off by going to the BD fireside chat workshop. It was really what we needed at that moment.
It was so affirming to be with like minded people for an entire weekend. You are all amazing!
