Wet felting is the oldest fabric know to us. It is a magical and wonderful medium that requires attention, thought, and patience. The complete joy in turning a pile of wool into a personal, meaningful keepsake is like magic.
Wet Felting Basics
One of the oldest and enduring ways to make fabric. Felt is durable, warm, and amazingly simple to make. Wool, soap, water, and friction can create a number of beautiful and amazing items from scarves to hats, to shoes.
This workshop will focus on wool types, felting principles, the felting process, and lots of doing including felting in the round, flat felting, adding other fibres, and using resists. We will also look at what is needed to felt at home including estimating material needs. You will take home 3 different projects.

Learn how to make your own hat! A fun and informative workshop that introduces wet felting in the round. Learn shaping, and basic hat making. You will be amazed at what can be done with wool, water, and elbow grease.
All materials are included and you will go home with a hat.

TIme: 11-3Story Scarf - Nuno Felting
Create a beautiful and enchanting silk scarf using the mysterious technique of nuno-felting. We will cover the way nuno-felting works, different fabrics that can be used, and how to design your scarf from idea to finish.
All materials are included and you will go home with a lovely silk nuno-felted scarf.
