Over the years Tim has had a number of engineering positions. All of them built on his knowledge of building and organizing. He has a great sense of how to build things better and more efficiently.Computer programs such as Solid Works and AutoCAD have helped on the farm when building structures.
Tim has a formal education in environmental science with a specialization in composting. Exposure to organic and then biodynamic farming drew him in, and he has never looked back. He delights in turning all the bedding that comes out of the barn each year. It never fails to amaze him that such glory can be created from such "waste".
Tim has taken farming courses through the Biodynamic Society of Ontario, Farmstart, Canadian Organic Growers, and the Ecological Farmer's Association of Ontario.
